In-Center Hemodialysis
Expert-supervised dialysis treatment in our modern, comfortable facilities
What is In-Center Hemodialysis?
What Is In-Center Hemodialysis?
In-center hemodialysis is the most common form of kidney replacement therapy. During treatment, your blood is circulated through an external dialysis machine that acts as an artificial kidney — filtering waste products, excess fluids, and toxins before returning the cleaned blood to your body.
At Avitus Kidney Care, every session takes place under the direct supervision of our nephrologists and experienced renal nurses. Our centers are equipped with modern hemodialysis machines, reverse-osmosis water treatment systems, and comfortable reclining chairs to make each visit as safe and pleasant as possible.

How It Works
Your Hemodialysis Session — Step by Step
- Arrival & Check-In: Our staff greets you, takes your vital signs (blood pressure, weight, temperature), and reviews how you have been feeling since your last session.
- Access Preparation: The nurse connects you to the dialysis machine through your vascular access — typically an arteriovenous (AV) fistula, AV graft, or central venous catheter.
- Dialysis Treatment: Blood flows from your body into the dialyzer (artificial kidney), where waste and excess fluid are removed. This takes approximately 3 to 4 hours.
- Monitoring: Throughout the session, our renal nurses continuously monitor your vitals and the machine to ensure everything is running smoothly.
- Completion: Once treatment is finished, the nurse disconnects you, checks your post-treatment vitals and weight, and provides aftercare instructions.
